Participant will learn the art of Decoupage which is gluing small pieces of paper together and the process results in a solid translucent coating. 2. Participants will discover that pressed flowers become lightweight and translucent when pressed. Materials: Votive cup Tissue paper Decoupage glue: Refer to Glue Recipes for a homemade version Foam Brush Pressed flowers and leaves: Refer to Pressing Flowers Procedure: 1. Press flowers and leaves in advance for this project. 2. Tear off the straight edges for a sheet of tissue paper, and then tear the paper into small pieces. 3. Brush the outside of the votive cup with decoupage glue. 4. Arrange pressed flowers and leaves in an attractive design around the glass votive. 5. Brush on more glue. 6. Lay the pieces of paper on the glass, overlapping the edges. Keep adding paper and glue until the entire glass is covered. 7. Let the votive thoroughly dry.
