Workshop
No monitoring data
Complete Monitoring
• Determine where each relevant SPC member fits
on this continuum
• Based on country objectives determine what type
of quantitative analyses can be provided given the
level of monitoring data available.
• Form the specifications for SNAPMAN (the
snapper equivalent of TUFMAN).
Resources
• Workshop to dovetail OFP Stock Assessment workshops
• Members need to identify who from each country will be
responsible for DSS and send to workshop
Project proposals
• NC – FPF proposal to contribute to SNAPMAN
development, participate in workshop, pilot project on
data collection.
• PICs – AUSAid proposal for assistance, including
SNAPMAN rollout, data collection, development of
national capacity for stock assessment to MSc level, and
science officer to support analyses.
• Current support to be strengthened (eg Tonga PhD).
