羅婉嘉 Have you seen the movie "Seediq Bale" or have you ever participated in any aboriginal activity before? How do you think of their culture? I watched the movie "Seediq Bale", and it was a great historical story. All men and women were brave in that film. They tried to resist Japanese occupation. Although the revolt of Wushein sacrificed a lot of Seediq aborigines, it was an honor of aborigines. In the end of the movie, all the victims went on the bridge of rainbow. It really touched my heart. I have participated in the Harvest Festival and it was an Amis traditional celebration. I really enjoyed in the celebration, and I could dance and sing with them. I also tried their famous millet wine, and it was really good. I also saw the traditional textile, and the colors and totems were attractive, and then I bought a handbag for my mom. In my opinion, all cultures are worth to be protected by all human, because we all need to live in the world. I have contacted the aboriginal culture for 5 years. It was a long story. Since I was a junior high student, I made a group of indigenous people. They taught me Amis language and some Amis songs, and I felt they were friendly. Maybe someday you can try to contact with aborigines; it may change your stereotype of indigenous people.
