Web Software Developer Purpose Purpose: To provide Web Application Management and development expertise to the Office of the Vice President for Research and the Office of Research Administration Essential Functions Function 1: Manage multiple programs simultaneously and provide supervision to the CODe group 10 % Time Function 2: Communicate (email, personal meeting, and presentations) frequently with stakeholders (staff, faculty, and includes UT system and other schools) to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. 10 % Time Function 3: Write advanced web authoring code and design complex database driven websites. Create integrated online web forms and architect their framework for electronic routing. 70 % Time Function 4: Perform security analysis of all web applications and create/implement plans to enhance overall security of the application. 10 % Time Marginal/Incidental Functions Marginal/Incidental Functions: Other functions as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. 2 years experience in developing complex web applications with software engineering principles. Good working knowledge of HTML, PHP, MySQL, Javascript, AJAX, Zend Framework, and MVC Architecture or expert level knowledge in similar other scripting languages, frameworks and architectures.
