Escort Driver Purpose Purpose: The UT Arlington Police Department provides escorts to students 24/7. This service has been augmented through the Maverick Escort Service between the hours of 7pm and 1am. We continue to see an increase of ridership and are expanding the hours until 3am and services to off campus apartments. Essential Functions Function 1: Provide information relative to UT Arlington geography and events. 5 % Time Function 2: Communicate via Police Radio 10 % Time Function 3: Drive golf cart and/or passenger vehicle, providing security escorts around campus. 84 % Time Function 4: Inspect golf cart and/or passenger vehicle for proper operation of equipment. 1 % Time Function 5: % Time Function 6: % Time Function 7: % Time Function 8: % Time Marginal/Incidental Functions Marginal/Incidental Functions: Other functions as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License. Successfully complete a driver's safety course offered by the UTA Police Department and the Environmental Health and Safety Office. Pass a drug test. Ability to communicate with a diverse population. Ability to safely operate a golf cart and/or passenger vehicle. Ability to communicate via police radio.
