Research Engineering Scientist Associate II
Purpose
Purpose:
Performs supervisory or highly complex environmental work at a professional level
in the evaluation, review, selection, adaptation, and modification of standards,
techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Essential Functions
Function 1:
Performs as an office advisor and consultant in technical matters and program
functions. Work may result in the development of new or refined techniques,
procedures, equipment, processes, products, and/or scientific methods.

Function 2:
Review of environmental enforcement and compliance reports, compilation of
inventories, development and assessment of pollution control strategies, review of
site assessments and/or corrective action reports.
20 % Time
Function 3:
Perform compliance determinations, collection and analysis of data and development
of simulation models, reviewing or preparing engineering plans and specifications,
evaluations, hardware/software, or reports, performing site or construction
inspection and other complex tasks.

Function 4:
Assist with the development of Center for Environmental Excellence business
strategy (i.e. federal, state, local, grants, contracts, projects, technical assistance).
Identify sources of relevant opportunity searches to meet strategy goals.
15 % Time
Function 5:
Conduct searches of available opportunities and determine interest, eligibility and
resource availability for response. Prepare competitive proposals in collaboration
with Program Development Office.

Function 6:
Support research, technical narrative, teaming and subject matter relative to
environmental topics. Assist Center for Environmental Excellence with deployment of
successful projects

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Relevant Master's degree. Applicants must include in their online resume the

Preferred Qualifications:
