Purpose
Purpose:
Provides technical support and solutions for the Division for Enterprise Development
Essential Functions
Function 1:
Assists client with the common uses of standard personal computing technology for
the business unit.
30 % Time
Function 2:
Install, setup, and configure standard hardware and software and assist with
support of hardware and software to meet client needs.
30 % Time
Function 3:
Diagnose and perform intermediate to advanced software and hardware, repairs.
10 % Time
Function 4:
Obtains professional certifications as needed for vender specific processes.
10 % Time
Function 5:
Assist with research and evaluation of personal computing technologies.
10 % Time
Function 6:
Assists in maintaining documentation for standards, services, procedures and
inventories.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
60 credit hours of course work towards degree in computer related field or
equivalent practical experience and 2 years practical experience in the computer
field. Knowledge of and/or experience with an extensive variety of computer
hardware, software, and peripherals. Applicants must include in their online resume

Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience in support of PC hardware, software, and OS. Experience with
all aspects of supervising student workers which includes but not limited to posting,
interviewing, hiring, payroll and training of student workers. Experience with end of
year inventory including keeping up with inventory records, checking out loaner
equipment. UT Arlington experience a plus. Dell Certification(s)a plus. Good
