THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT ARLINGTON ADMINISTRATIVE AND PROFESSIONAL (NON-TEACHING) JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: Coordinator-Honors College CODE: 0684 FUNCTION: Technical support computers, web sites, technology purchases. Development and coordination of assessment data. Development, design and printing of publications. coordination of special programs and events. Course proposals/scheduling. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Function 1 Coordinator for the development and maintenance of Honors College website and web based support services including: student advising, online surveys, forms, applications and registration for numerous programs. Honors College Council web support. Percent time 30 Function 2 Responsible for coordination of development, design and printing of Honors College publications: recruitment, study abroad, freshman interest groups, new courses, etc. Representative for UTA's initiative to standardize all published materials. Percent time 15 Function 3 Coordinator technical support: including submission of proposals, specing, purchasing, upgrading, repairing, security and maintenance of equipment, software for Honors College staff, Library and CH 101 classroom. Laptop loan program. Liaison to OIT. Percent time 15 Function 4 Responsible for coordination of program assessment data including: development, maintenance, collection, manipulation and processing data of internal student and automated student recruitment databases. Gathering and organizing data for strategic plan Percent time 10 Function 5 Responsible for coordination of course scheduling including: submission of course proposals and development of course room assignments, as well as, assigning faculty to courses in system. Percent time 10 Function 6 Responsible for coordinating Honors data needs with various MyMav groups including: Assessment of MyMav student database to ensure that existing functionality and expectations with non-MyMav tools are understood and available with the new system. Percent time 7 Function 7 Responsible for coordination of scheduling and room assignments for programs and events: such as, Science Olympiad, National Moot Court Tournament, Honors College Council, Advanced Placement Summer Institute, events in CH 101, etc. Percent time 7 Function 8 Committee work: executive, recruitment, science olympiad, strategic planning, study abroad and Moot Court. As well as, other duties periodically assigned by the Dean. Percent time 6 ACCOUNTABILITY REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS REPORTS TO: Dean of Honors College SUPERVISES: None INTERNAL CONTROL: Responsible for the design, execution, and effectiveness of a system of internal controls which provides reasonable assurance that department operations are effective and efficient, department assets are safeguarded, department financial information is reliable, and the department complies with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Knowledge of various publications software and multi media equipment and of DEFINE, CICS, MyMav and ASTRA systems preferred. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, able to work well both independently and in team situations. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
