Mission: To serve the students and community by
coordinating procedures related to student
recruitment activities, advising prospective and
current students in admissions requirements and
individual program requirements, and receiving
and processing admissions and residency
applications. To provide various Federal and State
agencies with student enrollment data related to
these activities.

Efficiently and accurately record test scores
Procedures:
• Electronically import College Board SAT scores
• Partner with College Board to secure data
• Collaborate with IT to implement database
• Train the staff and test the data

Career & Testing Services
A Key to Accomplishment
Mission: To provide testing for students in
a caring and concerned manner and to
provide them with information regarding
career selection, employment preparedness,
and job opportunities.

Improve placement of current students and graduates
Procedures:
• Build New Relationships with Area Employers
• Identify 50 new local employers
• Correspond and meet with employers to introduce
services

Financial Aid

Mission: To assist students and families
in obtaining financial assistance to meet
their educational goals by providing a
diverse array of aid opportunities.

Secure a reliable, guaranteed and uninterrupted
source of loan funds for students
Procedures:
• Implement Federal Direct Loan Program
• Collaborate with US Department of Education
• Collaborate with IT Services on implementation
• Train FA and Business Office staff on new
program
• Publicize new procedures to borrowers

Office of the Registrar

Mission: To provide an effective
registration process and to insure the
accuracy and integrity of student records.
Registrar Priority #1
Improve efficiency of withdrawals while maintaining
the integrity of required data
Procedures:
• Review the course withdrawal process
• Discuss the need for process improvement with
VP’s and Deans
• Develop timeline, rewrite policies and present for
approval

Counseling
A Key to Achievement
Mission: To offer services to students
regarding academic programs and
requirements; to intervene and make
referrals in an effort to retain students; and
to assist in removing barriers that prevent
student success.
Counseling Priority #1
Focus on serving our growing population of veterans
and active military students
Procedures:
• Implement Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
(PTSD) training
• Locate PTSD trainer in our service area
• Develop training schedule for counseling staff
• Create information and sensitivity training packet
• Counselors provide training sessions for faculty
and staff

Student Activities/Athletics

Mission: Provide a program of student
activities and athletics to enhance the
educational experience at CFCC through
extracurricular involvement in SGA, clubs,
organizations, intramurals, and athletics.

Procedures:
• Develop an Intramural program
• Evaluate curriculum Program Reviews and student
surveys to determine areas of interest
• Collaborate with SGA representatives
• Determine cost and feasibility
