• Our team assisted second grade students in publishing their
own book.
• The community came together and fostered literacy in a
second grade classroom.
• Through constructivism we incorporated our curriculum with
second grade frameworks.
• By using various technologies we brought about success
through innovation.
• Growth through hands on classroom teaching experiences as
professionals.
Introduction
There is a continual need for elementary
students to be engaged in learning
experiences through a variety of projects.
Our team helped the class prepare for TLI
testing in which each student took a story and
made it their own (parody).

Project Ideas for Future
• Mrs. Staab, our cooperating teacher, plans to
make this an annual project.
• Have older grades publish a book of poems.
• Have a school wide book publishing project,
which would be more cost effective per
student and would bring a sense of
community to the school.
