To lead an Adventure Travel trip you must have current CPR and WFA certifications at the time of your trip (or AWFA
for all backcountry trips). If you do not have the required level of certification at the time you submit your proposal or it
will expire before the date of your trip, you will need to make arrangements to recertify in a timely manner and you
should describe your plans to do so in a note.

Based at Maho Bay Camps, activities will include hiking, snorkeling, swimming and trip
to other parts of the island, cultural programs and special group activities such as a meet
and greet BBQ. Activities are structured so that all can participate. There will be free
days to enable people to schedule personal options such as sailing, scuba etc.

Hamilton Eugene provides all local transportation for us. This is a taxi service which we
have used for the past 10 years.

Pre-trip meeting at our home.
We will learn about the ways that Maho Bay camps has provided leadership to the
National Park in the areas of conservation, using recycling materials and protecting the
earth from a large number of travelers. On St. John, we will learn about coral reefs and
the efforts made to protect and re-establish the natural formation. We will learn about
local flora and fauna while hiking through a tropical forest from a naturalist. We will
meet local people and learn local lore. We will hike, snorkel and create community.
