LOGISTICAL DETAILS OF TRIP

We will spend 3 days on the mainland of Nova Scotia and 4 days in Cape Breton.
Activities in Nova Scotia include a visit to Burntcoat Head Park in the Bay of Fundy to
do a Tidal Exploration Tour, and then we will have a group program and tour of the
Shubenacadie Wildlife Park. Time to explore Halifax as well. We will then drive to Cape
Breton Island on the third day and explore Cape Breton Highlands National Park and the
famous Cabot Trail for 2 days. We will also visit the Louisburg Fortress. Drive back to
Halifax for departures. We will give option to take ferry from Portland or fly.

All breakfasts and most dinners will be included and coordinated by leaders. Will give
participants 1 night off to explore on own in Halifax. Breakfast will be at the lodging
(included in Cape Breton but extra in Halifax). Lunches will be out and about but not
included in the budget. We will have a welcome and goodbye dinner.
