of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. "Yama Adventures is committed to responsible
tourism, through its policies and practices which permeate all aspects of its
business. The company’s policies aim to ensure that Yama Adventures and its
clients act in a way which is socially, environmentally and culturally sound. We

This is not a technical trek. The main hazard is altitude sickness.
We will gain altitude slowly. We will advise pax to hydrate. Will suggest pax bring
diamox.
Political concerns, crime, language translation, terrorism
Street crime in Delhi, and other tourist cities.
We counsel our participants to leave their valuables in the hotel safe and carry only
spending money when in the streets. Will advise of pickpockets. Travel in groups.
Common-sense traveler precautions seem to be sufficient for preventing all but
occasional incidents of theft. Do not approach beggars. Only shop in stores.
Road conditions, drivers, insurance
Roads through mountainous country and heavily populated areas, road travel at night.
Outfitter uses licensed drivers.
Level of fitness, screening concerns, experience with equipment or activity

recommend that participants maintain excellent fitness in the months prior to departure.
Participants will be encouraged to purchase travel insurance. Participants will be advised
to only drink treated water, not to use ice cubes and not to eat salads, unless the guide
tells us it is okay.
Conditions unique to this type of trip
