Local Transportation Please describe your plans for local transportation Form Revised February 2014 We'll be flying into Heathrow and will spend the first night in London. Our outfitter has arranged transportation from London to Crickowell, Wales, where we will spend two nights. We will have 2 days of guided hiking through the Brecon Beacons National Park. Our transportation will then take us over to Newport, Wales, where we will be hiking along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path along the southwest coast of Wales for 4 days staying at inns along the way. We will end the trip with another night in London before flying home. Accomodations are currently planned at The Bear Hotel in Crickowell inside the national park, the Golden Lion at Newport, and Old Cross Hotel at St David's. All breakfasts are included in the lodging cost. Pack lunches will be purchased from our innkeepers or local shop. Dinner is included for the two nights we'll be at the Bear Hotel. We will have a good-bye group dinner at our last night in London. Participants will be on their own for all other dinners; there are plenty of local pubs and restaurants to choose from. Our outfitter has lined up a local mini-bus (16 passenger) with driver to transport us from/to London and Wales plus from the national park to our starting point on the coast. They have also lined up a shuttle service for our luggage on the days that we are walking along the coast to the next town.
