HUB International Brewer & Lord Foreign Travel and Insurance Coverage General Liability & Commercial Umbrella Currently issued in One Beacon Insurance Company the coverage is intended to respond to claims alleging negligence of the AMC which results in either Bodily Injury or Property Damage to third parties. Volunteers working on behalf of the AMC would be covered as well as the AMC and its employees. The coverage is written on a worldwide basis but claims must be brought in US courts to be defended by this policy. Foreign Liability The current policy in ACE Insurance Company offers a variety of coverage’s including Foreign Liability, Non Owned & Hired Auto Liability and Employers Liability. The General Liability coverage that is offered is similar to what I have described above but will defend claims in a foreign court, normally in the country where the alleged claim occurred. Non owned and Hired Auto Liability is intended to protect the AMC for claims from third parties which arise from the rental or use of non owned auto’s overseas, such as a bus charter or car rental. Again, the claim will be defended in the foreign jurisdiction. The Employers Responsibility coverage includes Executive Assistance, Employers Liability and Voluntary Compensation coverage’s. AMC employees who are injured overseas can file a claim under the existing US Workers Compensation policy. The Employers Liability coverage offered here expands the US coverage to include claims due to endemic diseases contracted overseas and medical evacuation in the event of injury. The Foreign Liability is intended to provide coverage anywhere in the world with the exception of those countries who are under US trade or economic sanctions. Also included in the policy is Kidnap & Ransom coverage which has a more limited territorial definition and is not intended to cover claims while traveling in specifically listed countries, such as Iraq and the Congo. Travel Agents Professional Liability This policy currently in effect with Zurich offers a number of coverages as well. The primary coverage is Professional Liability for claims resulting from negligent acts or omissions of the AMC, or those for whom the AMC is legally liable, in the conduct of Travel Agency Operations. Claims in this area can include financial loss which is different from the General Liability claims where the claim must occur from either bodily injury or property damage. Claims resulting form Rock or Ice Climbing are specifically excluded. Also offered in this policy is General Liability coverage similar to that offered in the Foreign Liability coverage described above however the claims must arise out of Travel Agency Operations defined as “all operations necessary to the conduct of a travel agency, meeting planner, cruise-only agency or tour operator”. Non owned & Hired Automobile Liability is also included but claims are only intended to cover those vehicles used in the Travel Agency Operations of the AMC. NOTE: All policies are subject to specific coverage limits, conditions and exclusions. It is the insurance company who will make the final determination of coverage when presented with a claim.
