Is this proposal for a small group trip – i.e., less than 14 participants and 2
leaders or 7 participants and 1 leader? Yes
No
If yes, why is a small group proposed? Backcountry location on route remote from
medical care with steep elevations on narrow trails, making rescues precarious. It is
easier to keep track of 12 people in this terrain.
If a participant fee increase of more than 15% is proposed, please explain
why?

We organized a hiking weekend in NH in 2009, and plan to do that again in 2011.
We will explore the history of hiking in the Alps, local flora and fauna, local cuisine,
local customs and lifeways of the Bavarian people. Munich is replete with historic,
artistic and cultural opportiunities. The Bavarian Octoberfest will be going on when we
return to Munich. We will possibly have a native speaker join the group while we are
traveling to lend local cultural experience.
