This will primarily be a hiking trip from lodge to lodge along the Anapurna Trail. It will conclude with a three day river float. The middle day of the float will be exploration of villages only accessible by water. There will be a flight to see Mt. Everest. An afternoon will be spent at a sanctuary that trains injured birds [falcons, etc.] to be returned to the wilderness. We will be learning about the history of Nepal by both reading and lecture. Our visiting of small villages and cottage industries is an important aspect of our hiking and float days.
