The trip stays at The Nature Place Ranch in the Rocky Mountains, one hour west of Colorado Springs. The itinerary includes hiking to the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, Fish Creek, Quick's Homestead and Horseshoe Mountain. Hikes are moderate and 4-5 hours long. Evenings include slide shows of "Local Geology of Central Colorado", "Nepal-It's mountains and Culture", and an evening campfire and outdoor bar-b-que. We will hike areas around the mountain area of The Nature Place and The Nature Place will provide transportation to these areas. Hikes will range from scenic walks to 8 mile/day hikes. However, your cancellation shall not raise the cost of the trip to any of the participants or the leaders. Thus, if you cancel and are not replaced, you will forfeit the $300 plus the per capita expenses already incurred and any other unpaid per capita expenses for which the trip cannot obtain a refund.
