To lead a major excursion you must have current CPR and WFA at the time of your trip (or AWFA for all backcountry
trips). If you do not have the required level of certification at the time you submit your proposal or it will expire before
the date of your trip, you will need to make arrangements to recertify in a timely manner.

Accommodations
Please describe your plan for
accommodation(s)
RevisedWe plan to arrive at Oakland airport and drive vans to Yosemite. Initially We
will hike the shorter signature trails in the Valley and near Gracier Point then move on to
the longer hikes as the group adjusts to the elevation. At that point we may devide into
two groups to offer a choice of shorter and longer hikes outside the valley.
Our plan is to stay initially at a hotel in the Yosemite valley where we can take
advantage of the shuttle and close proximity to many trailheads. The last few days will
be spent at a hotel that provides space to allow us to relax & enjoy post hike sunset views
and ambiance with improved access to Mariposa Grove and other non Valley
destinations.
We will prepare our own breakfast and lunch as well as a few dinners. We will dine at
selected restaurants the capture the local flavor.
