University Carbondale campus. We will bring our campus closer to you - as near
as Joliet Junior College. You'll have the quintessential experience of being in a
college classroom with an SIU Adjunct Professor and you'll be closer to home. It's
almost like we make house calls.
SIU offers a Fire Service Management Bachelor Degree Program through the
campus of Joliet Junior College. The mission of the Fire Service Management
Program (FSM) is to provide you, the fire service professional with highly trained
and qualified instructors within the various fields of study in the FSM program.
We are committed to the enhancement and advancement of fire service
professionals through higher education.
The Master of Fire Service & Homeland Security Management degree is
designed for fire service professionals who possess a bachelor’s degree in a public
safety related field, and have extensive work experience in the emergency services
industry. The degree is available online and at off-campus locations only, so
students have the ability to earn credit while also fulfilling professional
obligations. Students may complete the Master of Fire Service & Homeland
Security degree in as little as 16 months of study!
