Analysis Premise
Use actual student and financial information to
determine the financial results associated with each
student course taken by credit hour.
Result
Analyses can be performed using any captured student
or course related rollup or selection criteria. The base
level information can also be joined and reported with
other information attributable by a student or course.

Assumptions for “The Math”
• Information collected after term completion
• Revenue and expenses included are only for student related
teaching operations.
• Utilize rolling 12 months of expenses
• Net revenue is based on “cash from the outside”
• Teaching load determines the instructors salary portion directly
applied to courses taught
• Faculty salaries are spread directly to the classes they teach by
credit hour.

• Student CRN activity by term (CRN, course, tuition, credits…)
• Student Accounts Receivables information (tuition, grants,
payments, bad debt)

• Faculty status and assignments by CRN
• CRN information (College, Title, Course, subject, campus
