• Have a pen and paper ready
• Bring plenty of copies of your resume’
• Have a plan!!!! And, work the room…develop a
strategy . Don’t go to your top company right away…
• Know that you are being observed!!
• Ask the representative what is the best way to
follow-up with his/her organization
• Request a business card from each recruiter

How to Follow Up with Employers
• A brief thank-you note (or e-mail) to the representative.
• Contain some information that will remind him/her of
your conversation.
• Thank them for taking the time to meet and talk with
you and express your interest in the company.
• This is a reflection of your work ability; take the time to
do it right!
• Send the thank-you note the next day!
