Among these requirements are: At least a 2.5 G.P.A. overall G.P.A. in Major determined by academic department 3.0 G.P.A. in EDTE courses Positive evaluations from the faculty in the major Positive evaluations from the education faculty Elementary and secondary candidates must complete all Teacher Education (EDTE) courses and EDSE 451, EDSE 452, and EDSE 465 before Student Teaching. The State requires the student to have earned a “C” grade or higher on all course work used for an endorsement. or for teacher certification. It is strongly recommended that candidates do not plan to take additional coursework, work-study, or outside employment while student teaching. Placements will be made in the greater Spokane area schools, or within a 25-mile radius of Spokane.
