Introduction
There is no island like Palau that has
abundant undersea landscape and unpolluted
natural environment. When you come to Palau,
you will attracted by sunshine and clear water.
When you are snorkeling, you can see the world's
most spectacular sea creatures, numerous corals
and colorful tropical fish. The most exciting thing is
that Palau has the only non-toxic jellyfish lake in
the world. You can't image how much fun it is
when swimming with millions of jelly fish. World
famous oceanographers, scuba diving experts,
underwater photographers all recommended that
Palau has the best undersea landscape in the
world. Do you want to unforgettable memories in
life? Then you must visit Palau!
Giant Clam area
Here gathered a lot of giant
clams, more than one meter
long and weighs more than 200
kg and the life of over 100 years. Giant clam grow
0.7 to 1 cm a year.
Unfortunately,
this is a serious
problem for potential
illegal clams. We saw
many dead clams which were stolen by people.
And the corals were destroyed by the people who
stepping on corals. Now the government prohibit
for potential illegal.
In Palau, if you want
to capture giant
clams you must have
a license.
Jelly Fish Lake
The general impression of jellyfish is
untouchable and poisonous. In Palau, You cannot
miss the world's only non-toxic jellyfish lake.
In the past, the sea level was high so the seawater
influx here. Jellyfish also came here with seawater.
Until sea level dropped, Jellyfish was isolated on
the lake. Jellyfish can
photosynthesis so
they didn’t need to
hunting and they
didn’t have predators.
The sting with long whiskers on their body
were degraded and become nontoxic jellyfish.
Nontoxic jellyfish is herbivorous, living by algae
and exudes a hint of orange. The view is really
amazing and fascinating.
