The researcher needs to keep the nature and quality of the participant’s performance strictly confidential unless permission has been asked for and granted Deception or honesty 1. Research needs to be reported in a complete and honest fashion 2. There should be no misrepresentations or intentionally misleading others as to the nature of the findings 3. Always give credit where credit is due 4. If deception is necessary it needs to be justified 5.
