Co-ordinates
Aim:
To plot co-ordinates in the four quadrants
Instructions:
Up to 4 players
Each player is dealt 2 cards.
Black cards are positive numbers and red are negative.
Players must plot the co-ordinate generated by their
cards. Eg. 4 of spades and 7 of hearts generates either
of the co-ordinates (4, -7) or (-7,4)
The winner is the first to get a row of 3 co-ordinates
Extension 1: Find the equation of the line of 3 points
Extension 2: Using 4 cards generate two points and find
the equation of the line joining them
Alternatively: Players score points by forming and naming
2D shapes formed by their co-ordinates.
