A list of papers will be agreed on and made available online

The goal of this seminar is to read and discuss a series of papers on a topic in glaciology that will be decided upon in the first class meeting.

One student will lead the discussion at each meeting. He or she will give a ten minute introduction that summarizes the main findings in the context of similar papers. Each student is expected to have read the paper and to appear at the meeting with three prepared (and written down) questions. This will facilitate discussion.

Instructional methods: student presentations and discussion
