Sample Language for including a Bequest to the Louisiana 4-H Foundation:
“I give, devise, and bequeath to LSU FOUNDATION, a 501 ( c) (3) qualified charitable
organization whose role is to accept, manage, and disburse funds in support of
Louisiana State University, a higher education institution located in Baton Rouge,
Louisiana (a) the sum of $______________; or (b) the following described property
__________________; or (c) _____% of my estate; or (d) the rest, residue, and
remainder of my estate.”
“ The property comprising this gift may, for investment purposes, be merged with any of
the general investment assets of the LSU FOUNDATION, but the gift shall be entered in
the foundation’s books and records as the [insert here the name which you would like
for your gift fund] Fund and shall always be so designated. I wish for distributions from
the fund to be used to provide support for the LSU Agricultural Center / Louisiana 4-H
Foundation at LSU.
