Tomorrow first period starts at 8:10; On Friday second period starts at 8:20. Thursday and Friday are flexible
schedules/minimum days due to Parent/Teacher conferences.
Welcome to the final day of Science and Tech Week! We’re looking forward to all of the speakers today. You can hear about
living in space for 6 months, how to investigate a crime scene, and come see how technology allows you to be anywhere
without actually being there. You’ve probably seen this tele-presence robot on Big Bang Theory and Modern Family.
College visits this week: Wednesday: University of Denver, Juniata College, Whittier College, and Skidmore College.
Thursday: University of Illinois at Urbanna-Champaign, Mills College.
Attention all Seniors interested in CSU! All next week from October 26th to October 30th, in the College and Career Center, there
will be open lab time to help any Senior trying to finish their CSU mentor application. Counselors will be available each day
from 2:30 - 4:00pm. Please show up with your transcript and any other paperwork you may need to fill out the
application. Hope to see lots of the class of 16 next week!
Are you interested in working with children? Do you need community service hours? Come volunteer at the YMCA at
Almond child care where you can help with homework, lead games, and be a good role model for the kids! For any questions

LSU will meet today at lunch in room 408.
Future Physicians of America will meet at lunch in room 503.
Female Empowerment by Minors will meet at lunch in room 507. We will discuss future volunteer opportunities and
fundraisers.
The Science and Engineering Team will meet today in room 705 at lunch. We'll be continuing with the RC airplane projects.
Come join us as we finish cutting out the airfoils.
The Chess Club will meet at lunch in room 718.
The Origami Club will meet at lunch in room 723.
Think Outside the Brush will meet at lunch in room 914 to discuss Art Docents and volunteering. We will also have an art
workshop.
Green Tip of the Week: 95% of energy from cell phone chargers doesn’t go towards charging your device. So unplug them
when not in use to save energy! Learn more about how you can help the environment at the Green Team meeting today at
lunch in room 708.
It is almost time for hoops, just a couple of weeks away! If you are interested in playing Girls Basketball this season, come to
the small gym at lunch today for a short informational meeting. You will receive information about tryouts and the upcoming
season.
Winter Sports are starting soon so make sure you have your Athletic Participation forms turned in to Mrs. Cave in the Athletic
Office if you are trying out. You cannot participate until they have been approved.
Senior Athletes playing a sport in college! If you have already committed to play and you will be signing your early Letter of
Intent please see Mrs. Cave. The Letter of Intent signing day will be Thursday November 12th during brunch. Please notify
Mrs. Cave in the Athletic Office as soon as possible.
Varsity Tennis has a match vs. Castilleja at 4:15. Go Eagles!
