a. Darryl Sims, Athletics Director and Jamie Ceman, Assistant Vice Chancellor,
Integrated Marketing and Communications monthly profile of a student athlete or
non-athlete, some examples are mayor a former Dean anyone we are all Titans
here. Contact Jamie or Darryl if you or someone you know would make a good
profile. Students get in free to all regular season free, fall sport to winter, show
Titan ID and get in for free, with, 11,000 free tickets past year, he would like to
double or triple that. Women’s Volleyball play Thursday and Friday when hosted
her all students here and visiting may get in for free. Athlete’s dept have done
this both ways. When Women’s basketball went to Indiana Brad Fisher absorb
cost. Free shuttle an hour before and after games, plans to provide this service
and continue to be the case. If students want to see something different they are
willing to collaborate and partner with others, and listen to students on how we
want to operate, we can control many things but game times out of our control.
Cleaned up logo for Athletics, pre-approved by IMC or Athletic dept, it is a task
to monitor how and what it is being used for, fast turnaround time. Club/orgs have
to get permission. Employ you to come to more events as schedules will permit,
compete for love of sport no scholarships.
b. Patrick Wilkinson, Director Polk Library – undergrads, faculty, 1000 responses
back from students, majority undergrads. Research 2004, 2008, and 2014 in
spring, perception of library has increased, library as a place live call surveys,
Polk 101 one of the main things we have done renovation in front of circulation
desk, quite study areas have all come through, like space that has been renovated
but do not like space that is not renovated, upgrade furniture carpet equipment on
second and third floor, people feel frustrated with. With new Chancellor higher
may be moved up on the renovation ladder important to students without any
major quite study space and improve the space, hours a 106 hours a week during
fall and spring semester want more hours if a serious interest not more hours but
maybe not the right hours, survey with collaboration of student government in
2008 resources are stretched to be open the hours that we are. Algoma entrance
and that come up in the survey also not as simple, central administration.
STAND: students are interested in another entrance to the library don’t feel
comfortable or safe, increase use of the library as far as student use goes. Is there
a budget in place for renovations? Answer: budget not to cost out complete
renovation plan renovated and improved not expansion but it would be significant
money. Appreciate the extra hours during finals week. Dedicated to continuing
extending hours, some extra money from Provost Office, security is on their
minds with the three floors open, CSO students to be in the building during
certain times during all night study. Services are rated highly in the comment 26
of those finding people to help us, some comments: We don’t know who to ask,
difficult to identify, and not a courteous exchange, name tags will be worn by
Polk library staff and student staff.
