The Max Shacknai COVE, Upstate Institute, Corporate, Foundation & Government Relations Office, and Office of Career Services are offering Colgate staff and local community members the opportunity to participate in a 12-week, non-credit bearing class on grant writing. This hands-on series of workshops is designed to help you understand the often mysterious process of grant writing. Participants will learn how to search for and identify potential funding sources, plan a program and develop a budget, and prepare a customized proposal with a local community-based organization. Time Commitment: This is a 12-week class, meeting on Tuesdays from 11:30am – 12:45pm starting January 26 and running through April 19, 2016 (with a break at mid-term recess, Tuesday, March 15). On a separate sheet: 1) Briefly describe your most important (most important to you) community, personal or work involvements and interests. 2) Please share with us your interest in the Finding Money for Social Change: Grant writing Skills course and what you hope to gain from participation in this program.
