Mandatory recycling in Temple
Objectives:
To clean highways, parks, schools, businesses, and homes of litter
efficiently and cost effectively.
Reason:
We over use our environment with no personal responsibility for the
state of the town.
Solutions:
1) Make public service an option for persons on probation to take off
some time in jail 2) Start an Eco group to be funded by proceeds from
recycling of cans and other materials. 3) Make it necessary for
people to separate trash into recyclable materials before garbage
pickup. 4) Start volunteer groups for sorting and shipping of
recyclable materials. 5) Actively award plaques and public
recognition for corporate involvement. 6) Increase fines for illegal
littering and enforce existing laws more vigilantly
Effects:
Our efforts will create a cleaner and more earth active town.
