City officials look at airport plan
The Temple Daily Telegram reports that a report on phase two of the Draughon-Miller Central Texas
Regional Airport master plan was presented to the Temple airport advisory committee and citizens today.
Representatives of Coffman Associates, an airport consulting firm, presented alternatives for developing
the airport, including proposals for extending the runways and adding facilities. According to the Telegram
the phase one of the report, detailing an inventory of the area, forecasts for future uses and facility
requirements, was presented in June.Sharon Rostovich, airport manager, said the master plan is an
investment by the city in the future of the airport. "It's important to make sure you don't get behind the
times," Mrs. Rostovich said. "We're looking at what we need for future plans."
