Dear Department of Student Financial Aid:
Hello, my name is Stephanie Moon, and I was awarded the George Edward Manning ’46
Endowed Memorial Scholarship last year. I want to take this opportunity to convey my
appreciation for this honor.
I am currently a senior in the Lowery Mays School of Business. During the fall ‘03
semester I took ----- credit hours. One of these courses was Acct. 327, which is very
difficult. After many hours of study and dedication, I was accepted into the PPA (spell
this out), (PPA) program. The PPA program at A&M University has the reputation of
being an exceptional accounting course of study and it has been a goal of mine to be part
of this outstanding curriculum. In the next two and one-half years, this program requires
that I participate in an internship which will allow me to become familiar with the
business world, meet others in my field of study, and prepare me for what will hopefully
become my vocation.
This scholarship has been very beneficial for my family and me as I have a brother who
is also enrolled at A&M. In today’s economy, it is hard putting one child through
college, let alone, two. In the end, all of the hard work, late study nights, and money
woes will be worth every second. Thank you, again, for your time and generous gift.
