SUMMER 2012 ABOUT THE ACADEMIE MUSIQUE The Academie Musique, the music preparatory program at Temple College, seeks to provide high-quality, reasonably priced music programs for children of the surrounding communities. This program also serves as a laboratory setting, which provides college students with skills and training necessary to become qualified music teachers. Lessons with these students, who are mentored by Temple College music faculty, are available at a reduced fee. Instruction is provided, depending on teacher availability, in string instruments: Violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar; flute; saxophone; trumpet; percussion and piano.
