OIE Global Citizen Awards Campus Global Citizen of the Year 2015 Purpose: This award honors and recognizes outstanding contributions to international understanding by a member of the CU-Boulder community. Eligibility: Consideration for this award shall be given to a member of the CU-Boulder community (in any capacity) who: is a global citizen and inspires global citizenship in others has made exemplary contributions to enrich the campus culturally and further international understanding. This could consist of academic research, extra-curricular campus activities, and/or CU community involvement abroad or in the U.S. (such as with service projects, student support, group activities). Normally, recipients have made contributions in more than one area. (The nominee must be on campus for Fall 2015 in order to be considered for an award.) Awards: The recipient will be presented with a gift card award of $100. The awards ceremony will be held at the International Education Week reception on November 18, 2015 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Application Process: Any CU-Boulder faculty, staff or student may be nominated for the award. To nominate someone, please submit the following documents: a completed nomination form a statement outlining in what ways the staff person, faculty member or student is a global citizen, and how s/he has made contributions to further international understanding.
