We had 20 minutes to do it, with about 4 hours notice. We prepared our case just like in BCS class, then presented with quick demos and compelling arguments and everything, and not only did he end up giving us about an hour, but also called in another exec for us to present to AGAIN. We ended up getting a tentative go ahead worth a giant pile of money! It was AWESOME!! I was thinking about you guys the whole time! Best regards, Sarah Brunner (the Yank) 4 OBJECTIVES On completion candidates should be able to: – Exploit and project their professionalism – Understand the value of successful client relationships – Understand the principles of delivering a technical IT service – Use a structured approach to assignments – Explain what constitutes a successful assignment – Manage an assignment – Identify common causes of problems – Describe simple business analysis models and tools – Make acceptable client recommendations and deliver an IS service satisfying all stakeholders 5 THE CONSULTING PROCESS Entry Diagnosis Action planning Introduction Data Collection Rec’s Scoping & Analysis Resource, Proposal Diagnosis cost & time Planning Option Estimates Identification Implementation Soln Dev’t Organis’n Recruitment HR Process Training Termination Transfer Disengagement Evaluation Extension 6 ASSESSMENT AND EXAMINATION Assessment and examination of candidates in 2 stages: – Written Examination – Oral Exam 7 BENEFITS • • • • • • Increased confidence Win more business Lose fewer clients Earn more in fees Increased client satisfaction Enhanced reputation 8 COURSE FORMATS • 5 days continuous • 5 days modularised (2+3 days) • 2 day top-up • 1 days exam prep 9 A DELEGATE REACTION - 2 “ The delivery of the course was fantastic and I was very impressed with the wealth of knowledge and experience of the trainers."
