Submission of Working Schedule Specification SP0080302A DISTRICT FIVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION UPDATE TRAINING Definitions 2 Calendar Day – Every day shown on the calendar, ending and beginning at midnight Contract Time – The number of calendar days allowed for completion of the Contract work, including authorized time extensions. Precedence Diagram Method (PDM) - A method of constructing a logic network using nodes to represent the activities and connecting them by lines that show dependencies. Critical Path Method –A network analysis technique used to predict project duration by analyzing which sequence of activities (which path) has the least amount of scheduling flexibility (the least amount of float). Controlling Item of Work - The activity or work item on the critical path having the least amount of total float. The controlling item of work will also be referred to as a Critical Activity. Delay - Any unanticipated event, action, force or factor which extends the Contractor’s time of performance of any controlling work item under the Contract. The term “delay” is intended to cover all such events, actions, forces or factors, whether styled “delay”, “disruption”, “interference”, “impedance”, “hindrance”, or otherwise, which are beyond the control of and not caused by the Contractor, or the Contractor’s subcontractors, material men, suppliers or other agents.
