Stafford County Public Schools is starting a new process for our observation/student teachers.
This procedure will be implemented January 1, 2012. SCPS is requesting that all
observation/student teachers fill out and submit in person the Virginia Department of Social
Services Child Protective Services form to our HR department; at the time they bring in their CPS
form they will be fingerprinted. If the student has a current copy of a TB screening/test they
need to bring this with them, too. However, if they have not yet had their TB screening/testing
done, then the student needs to make an appointment with the nurse at the school they are
doing their observation/teaching at to have a TB screening done, and that screening needs to be
sent to the HR department. This procedure will be implemented January 1, 2012 and there is no
cost to the student or the university. If you have any student that will be coming to Stafford
County Public Schools for the spring semester, please give them the attached forms and
instructions, as all procedures have to be done prior to working with students. If you have any
