Kindergarten Newsletter Room 1 September 14, 2015 Mrs. Dowdell and Mrs. Copani Classroom News Our kindergarten class is off to an exciting start! We did a lot during our first week of school. We have been busy getting to know each other and our new daily routines. We read books, counted, wrote a story together, drew pictures, played outside, used blocks, sang songs and did so much more! We have 3 monarch chrysalides in our butterfly habitat. It has been very exciting to watch and learn about the life cycle of the butterfly! We also caught a praying mantis on our way in from the playground. We learned that he eats other insects and have been observing him as he stalks his prey. Last week we sent quite a bit of paperwork to be filled out by the parents. Please fill that out and send it in as soon as possible. We also sent a letter explaining how we are planning to provide snack this year. We do try to have snack every day. As you could see from the letter, we are asking each family to contribute $10 at this point in the year, and we will probably need to ask you to contribute in February. Thank you for your support in providing snack for your children. We are looking forward to another fun and busy week this week! Reminders *Open House is Tuesday, September 29 at 6:00.
