I cannot believe the comments made by some on the panel that there is
not "political will" to replace the income tax. This is something that
has been over-due for many years. The " Fair Tax" or consumption tax or
national sales tax is by far the fairest tax. Done properly it would
produce the same amount of dollars, however the lower income group
would pay less in tax and the people who spend the the most would pay
the much more. The accounting
nightmare that the American people now go through every year.
