Web Site Update – January 24, 2008 Request
President Lowman has asked each Discipline to provide updated information for a newly
developed/consistently designed website. Part of this effort is for each discipline to provide basic
information (see below) for prospective students and parents about their programs of study. This
information will then be passed through Public Relations who will edit the content for each discipline's
website. More information on content update access (and the like) to follow. Please be specific as
possible, and don't concern yourself with formatting and layout.
Note: This information should be arranged around an Academic Discipline reflecting programs of study
or majors. We have a number of academic departments that have more than one of these (for example
CJ/FS). In their case, there will be a page for each general discipline (in the example, Fire Science would
have a page as would Criminal Justice). Interdisciplinary programs will be noted on both discipline pages.
This will be sent to you electronically. Please send it electronically back to Jason Wenglikowski for him
to process this. This should be returned to him by Thursday January 31th. If you have most of the
information, send that to him immediately with followup later with additional information.

Are you interested in maintaining the site? If so, this will require additional software and training, along
with a commitment to maintain the site (at least) monthly. Design skills are not needed. Skills required
are similar to those needed to create Word document.
