French 2 – Semester 1 Final Exam Review

The exam will be multiple choice with 100 fill-in-the-blank, short answer and matching style questions. There is no
listening or speaking. You may use your green sheet. All vocab and verbs from French 1 are fair game.
1.Know your numbers: 0 – 100,000,000
2. Know the alphabet and the French accents.
3. Know prepositions and when to use them.
4. Know the titles of family and people. Know nouns and activities we have used.
5. Know all your articles- masculine and feminine and when to make an elision and/or contractions.
6. Know your professions.
7. Know your BAGS and nonBAGS adjectives and their gender agreements(adjective endings).
8.Know all present tense conjugations and meanings of avoir, être, faire, aller, venir, and all –er verbs from French 1.
9. Know how and when to use expressions with avoir, être and faire.
10. Know the near future tense and the near past tense and how to construct those sentences.
11. Know when and how to use depuis and il y a.
12. Know time, weather, days of the week, months and seasons and how to tell the date.
13. The rules for forming passé composé (with être and avoir). Subject/verb agreement with être!
14. Know all DR & MRS VANDERTRAMP verbs, meanings and past participles.
15. Know irregular verb past participles and regular verb past participle endings.
16. Vocab found on p.102, p.104, p.112, p.126, and from Un déjeuner gratuit (p.72-73) and all skits.
17. Culture Quiz/reading/vocab from p.86 – 87 and the Métro presentation.
18. Know déjà, jamais, quelqu’un, personne, quelque chose and rien.
19. Know how to find cognates.
