What are we are Learning?
Math: We will work on more double digit addition
and subtraction using strategies. We will focus
more on even and odd numbers and place value up
to 1,200.
Language Arts: Students are busy practicing
their parts for our Readers’ Theater Plays which
will be performed this Friday, November 20th.
Scripts will continue to come home in the
homework folders. Please help your child
practice nightly. Scripts need to be returned
daily in your child’s folder for practice as a class.
Please encourage them to slow down on their
reading, use a major country sounding voice, not
cover their face with their scripts, and to speak
LOUD!  Thanks for your help!
Social Studies: We will focus on Texas and
Cowboys this week. We will also target local,
state, and national government.
Science: We will continue our Rocks and Natural
Resources Units.
Each child has been assigned an item to
bring to help with our Thanksgiving
Luncheon for this Friday! Thank you for
your contributions.

THIS WEEK’S HOMEWORK:
Monday: Draw using Base Ten Blocks all the ways to
make the number 38 (there are 4 ways). Read for 20
minutes.
Tuesday: Sue baked 84 chocolate chip cookies. Sam
ate 39 cookies. How many cookies does Sue have
left? Use your expanded form, base 10 form, and
number line form to solve this problem. Read for 20
minutes.
Wednesday: Make a t-chart and write Even on one
side and Odd on the other. Put these numbers in the
correct column: 58, 92, 15, 37, 64, 65, 19, 17, 22, 71, 32,
Thursday: Make your Student of the Week page for
Joonki. Practice your words for the week.
Get ready for Cowboy Day taking place tomorrow!
Practice your script one last time and get your
country outfit ready. Are you bringing show and tell
items about Texas and Cowboys?
