Objectives:
1. To be able to identify human made and natural products.
2. To be able to pick up litter from nature.
Materials needed:
Nature Trail, trash, pine cones, leaves, pop cans
Background Information
Everything in this world is originally from nature. Some things have been
changed in order for us to better use them in our lives. For example, trees are cut down
and the wood is used to build houses. It is important to pick up any trash or litter that is
seen and throw it in the trash. This is important because the little nature we have left we
need to preserve.
Instructions
1. Ask students to identify human made and natural products.
2. What are some differences between these products.
3. Take a walk on a nature trail or bring in some natural products.
4. Bring in some trash to show the students
5. What can they do as people to clean up the environment.
6. Can they pick up any trash they see?
Questions for Study
1. Identify three human made and natural products.
2. What are two ways we can clean up the environment.
3. Why is there trash along the roads.
Application
1. Take a walk outside the school and observe the amount of trash that is present.
