Romeo and Juliet Character Description
Assignment Directions: In your tables, you are going to read/interpret certain parts of the play in order
to develop a character description of each of our main characters. You’ll start by dividing up some of the
sections among your group members, then read/interpret the parts (What’s going on in the scene?
What happened prior to the scene? What do the character’s words and actions reveal about him/her?)
From the info in the text, determine four different adjectives that describe each character. Write those
adjectives on the lines. Then in the space in between the lines, write a brief explanation of how the
character demonstrates this description. Include a citation of the lines that led you to those conclusions.
