Time Frame for Responsibilities/Duties
ALL YEAR:
 Market the GEM Award and promote nominations
October/November:
 Attend district meeting/training session
November/December:
 Copy flyers from the district to distribute in school
 Request nominations within building
January/February:
 Meet with small committee to review nominations within one week of district deadline of nominations
being submitted
 WPC provides a scoring system that the GEM committee will follow to select the winner
 Winner information is sent to the District GEM Chair
March:
 Recognize GEM Winner and others who were nominated in some public way (assembly, school picnic,
newsletter, etc)
April:

Attend the district GEM Award ceremony in support of the WSMS winner (optional, not required)
