Work Load and Attendance
This course will meet once a week for four hours. The highly accelerated pace requires that
students take a great deal of responsibility for their own learning. While in class, students are
required to actively participate in class and group activities. Outside the class, students should
expect a minimum of 15 hours per week of study.
Because of the accelerated nature of the course, attendance is very important. Two missed
classes will be allowed, after adequate in advance notification. If additional absence is required,
it will have to be made up. No more than a total of three classes can be missed for successful
completion of this course.
