WHY WEB
COBOL?
Recently developed software tools, such as
Merant/Micro Focus Net Express, provide a
bridge between tried-and-true COBOL data
files, business (procedural) logic, and
programming skills on the one hand, and
cutting-edge Internet/World-Wide Web ease
of user access on the other. COBOL
programmers wishing to learn these cuttingedge skills and organizations wishing to
provide Web access to COBOL-based business
systems should find this course a valuable
introduction to these tools and techniques.
