Please contact ISSS with questions regarding the J-1 Exchange Visitor application process. ISSS requires a
minimum of two weeks to conduct a thorough application review.
Please keep in mind that a new J-1 Exchange Visitor will be required to apply for a J-1 Exchange Visitor visa
by visiting a US Consulate. Visa wait times may vary greatly, and it is important to request a realistic program
start date. A program start date less than four weeks from the date of application is highly discouraged.
